Jupp Heynckes (Bayern Munich coach): "The key to the victory was the spirit shown by the whole team. Tactically, we were not just adept, but very intelligent too. Overall it was a very good performance and we managed to follow through with our game plan. (Corentin) Tolisso has already shown in recent weeks that he is a great player, and equally dangerous in front of goal. Playing against his compatriots was obviously a source of motivation for him psychologically. He trained really well this week and for me it was always clear that he was going to start tonight."

Unai Emery (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "Our first objective was to play well and win the match, and our second objective was to keep top spot in the group. Therefore I am 50 percent happy and 50 percent disappointed. At 2-1, we were closer to making it 2-2 than going 3-1 down. If we take our chances it is a different game. We had chances to turn it around, but we didn't put them away. At 3-1 to Bayern, when the players saw that they could not change the result, the team then tried to calm the game down, have control and maintain a solid structure to contain Bayern and assure ourselves of first place in the group. Neymar? I am relaxed about him, I know he will progress in this team, he has the quality to do that."

Nasser Al-Khelaifi (Paris Saint-Germain president): "We didn't perform. It's true, I am very disappointed about the result, the quality of our play, especially in the first half. After that we were better, but not enough to get the draw. It was a great game, against a great Bayern side, one of the best teams in Europe, not a small club. But we have great players, and we didn't come here to lose 3-1. I am optimistic for the future, but we didn't play as well as we could have done in this match. It is a lesson for everybody. We have finished first, yes, but we need to make sure we prepare well for the last 16, so we need to reflect on this."
