UEFA Champions League, Group G

 FC Porto  5-2  AS Monaco

Radamel Falcao (Monaco forward): "It was tough for us here. We tried to do our best, but it wasn't enough. The evening was special for me to come back here to Porto. I wish them the best for the next round. They have quality players and a great coach."

Leonardo Jardim (Monaco coach): "Our team showed a standard well below what is required in this competition. We have made a lot of mistakes in the Champions League, and you pay very dearly for them. Even the players I gave a chance to tonight did not get the opportunity to show themselves. In this group stage, I think Besiktas and Porto's qualification is fair given what they have done on the pitch."

Joao Moutinho (Monaco midfielder): "We didn't manage to achieve our goal, which was to win even though we had already been knocked out. Europe is now done with for us, we have to pick ourselves up and focus on the league. I was happy to come back here and I have to thank the Porto fans for their support."

Rony Lopes (Monaco midfielder): "We knew it was going to be a difficult match. Of course, we were already out, but our team is young and we're always motivated for these sorts of games. Unfortunately, we conceded a goal very quickly and after that, we weren't able to do anything to counter FC Porto, who have players up front who can knock you off balance."
