Girondins de Bordeaux have been dealt a blow with top scorer Malcom unlikely to be fit for Friday's Ligue 1 Conforama meeting with RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Third after going unbeaten in their first seven league matches of the season, Bordeaux have slipped into the lower half of the table having taken just five points from their last nine top-flight outings.
Malcom, who has a team-high seven goals this term, appears like he will have to watch from the sidelines as Jocelyn Gourvennec's men attempt to give their fans some early Christmas cheer.
"Malcom has twisted his ankle and he's a real doubt for Friday," the Bordeaux boss confirmed. "We'll see how it develops, but it's not looking good."
