Dante lands in Nice Ligue 1 Conforama > News | 24/08/2016

Ex-Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg defender Dante has signed for OGC Nice on a reported three-year, €2m deal.

The Brazilian, 32, has had an illustrious career since ending his two-season Ligue 1 stint with Lille in 2006, notably winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2013, and on Monday sealed his return to France by signing a reported three-year deal with OGC Nice.

Thus Dante, a 13-times capped Brazil international, is no stranger to French football, but his adaptation should be made that much easier by the fact that he is joining up with Swiss coach Lucien Favre, his boss at Borussia Moenchengladbach from 2011 to 2012.

Dante should prove a valuable asset in the centre of Favre's defence, bringing his experience to bear alongside the likes of Mathieu Bodmer and promising prospect Maxime Le Marchand following the summer departures of Kévin Gomis and Romain Genevois.
